These terms apply when you use Uruguay Check. The service is operated from Uruguay under the name Uruguay Check. Using the chat or buying a report means you accept them.
What we sell
A written report, USD 49, built from the answers you give in the interview and specific to the situation you describe. It covers residency paths, fiscal orientation, the order of documents and processes, cost ranges and suggested next steps. It is produced with the assistance of an AI model — see the limits below. On request, and at no extra cost, it also includes a list of independent Uruguayan providers.
What this is not — read this part
- It is not legal, tax, accounting or immigration advice. It is general orientation to take to a qualified professional in Uruguay before you act.
- No professional relationship is created. We are not your lawyer, your accountant or your immigration agent.
- It is not a relocation service. We do not file applications, represent you before any authority, or arrange or contract services on your behalf. On request we can send you a list of independent providers, but any engagement is directly between you and them.
- It is written by AI and may contain errors. Rules, thresholds and processes change, and models can be wrong or out of date. Every figure in the report must be confirmed with a professional and against official sources before you rely on it.
- No outcome is guaranteed. Nothing in the report is a promise that any residency, tax treatment or application will be granted.
The provider list
On request, and at no extra cost, we will send you a list of independent Uruguayan providers — accountants, notaries, immigration lawyers and others. It is supplied as information only. Some things to be clear about:
- We receive no commission, referral fee or other payment from them, and they pay nothing to appear on the list.
- They are independent. They are not our employees, partners or agents. Any contract, fee and advice is strictly between you and them.
- The list is not a recommendation or a guarantee. We are not responsible for their advice, their fees, their availability or the outcome of their work. Assess them as you would any professional you hire, and ask for their credentials.
- You contact them yourself. We do not pass your details to anyone on the list, and we take no part in what you subsequently agree with them.
Your part of the deal
The report is only as good as what you tell us. If you give inaccurate or incomplete answers, the analysis will be wrong in ways we cannot detect. You also agree not to resell or republish the report, which is licensed to you for your own personal use.
Payment and delivery
Payment is processed by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as merchant of record and is the seller for the transaction. Polar charges any VAT, GST or sales tax due in your country and shows it at checkout. Your card statement will show Polar rather than us, and your invoice comes from them. Payment is taken before the report is produced. Reports are delivered by email, normally within a few hours. While we are still calibrating output quality, each report is read by a person before it is sent, which is why it is not instant. If a report has not arrived within 24 hours, email hello@uruguaycheck.com.
Refunds
There is a plain refund promise and it is meant to be used. See the refund policy.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us. We are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of the report, for financial or tax consequences, or for the acts of any professional or authority you deal with. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Availability
The site is provided as-is. We may change or withdraw it, and we may decline to produce a report and refund you instead — for instance when the situation described falls outside what we can responsibly address.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your own country.
